Cost:
$45.
Transform an ordinary, four pane window (supplied with class fee) into a work of art! During this class
you will take an unpainted, four pane window and paint or stain it a color of
your choice (please let me know if you want an unusual color). You
will work with the four pane window, decorating each pane (behind the glass)
with pictures, embellishments, paper and more.
Each pane can be thought of as a separate scrapbook page -- so you will be
scrapping four pages. Some of the popular themes that have been done are:
heritage, family, vacation, cabin, baby, wedding, graduation ... the
possibilities are endless.
Stop into the store to view an example.

Upcoming
Classes:

The
Window Pane Class requires a five day cancellation notice.
Below is the
information you need to help plan
your window pane.
WINDOW PANE CLASS
Thank you for signing up to take the
Window Pane Class.
-
You are scheduled for class
on: _______.
-
Class is scheduled from 10:00 a.m.
to 4:00 p.m.
-
Class fee includes an unpainted
wood, four pane window, the paint / stain to finish it (please let me know if
you want an unusual color), the chipboard for creating the individual pages,
and the backing for your frame.
-
Lunch is not included in the class
fees; however, many will get together and order from Mansetti’s.
Plan, Plan, Plan – this is the key to
having a beautiful frame!
-
When thinking about your window
pane, first consider your theme.
Some
of the popular themes that have been done are: heritage, family,
vacation, cabin, baby, wedding, graduation ... the possibilities are endless.
Once you have decided on your theme, the fun begins.
-
You will be creating 4 separate
scrapbook pages. Each page is created on a 9x11” piece of chipboard, with
approximately an 8x10” viewable area.
-
You will need
-
8-12 pictures – you are going to
want a variety of sizes, from wallet to 5x7”. We have the capabilities to
copy, reduce, enlarge or change your pictures to black & white in the store.
-
Four pieces of background paper
(they do not need to be the same, but they do look nice if three of them are
the same), matting paper, vellum, etc.
-
Adhesive (strong adhesive is
needed; your pages will be vertical, not flat like normally in your book).
We recommend Scrapbook Tape by 3L Adhesives, 3M Quick Dry Tacky Adhesive
(for embellishments) or the Trio (all available in the store).
-
Scissors, personal cutter.
-
Embellishments -- lace, ribbon,
buttons, eyelets, snaps, brads, etc.
Stop by the store before your class
to look at the wide assortment of paper and embellishments we have -- this will
help you greatly.
-
When looking for embellishments,
consider your theme:
-
Heritage, do you have any old
lace from Grandma’s wedding dress, an old doily, buttons from Grandpa’s
suit, antique keys.
-
Vacation –souvenirs from your
trip – foreign currency, postcards.
-
Cabin – old fishing lures, drift
wood (for the outside), small lake rocks.
-
Family – a lock of your child’s
hair, a swatch of material from their favorite outfit or stuffed animal.
-
The original handwriting from
someone who is in the photos.
-
Look around -- see what you have
that will make your frame unique to you!
-
You may purchase the chipboard
letters for the outside of your frame from the store – we will laser cut the
word(s) you want out of chipboard and your paper to match.
We will help you; you will leave with
a beautifully completed frame.
